Nicola Lopez currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Through her work in printmaking, drawing and installation, Lopez describes and reconfigures our contemporary primarily urban landscape. Her work has been exhibited at the Guggenheim and MoMA in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in LA, the Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City and the Denver Art Museum. She has been an artist in residency at La Curtiduria in Oaxaca Mexico, the Headlands Center for the Arts, and is the recipient of a NTFA Fellowship in Drawing/Printmaking/Book Arts, and a Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA award.
