Logistics Jobs in Ohio
As part of our commitment to the economic development of the greater Columbus region, the Columbus Chamber provides listings for central Ohio logistics and transportation employment opportunities. The central Ohio area is beginning to gain recognition on a national level as an ideal logistics hub, thanks largely to the excellent transportation infrastructure running through the region. Recent developments, including the Rickenbacker Intermodal Terminal, are doing much to create additional logistics jobs in Ohio. The Rickenbacker Intermodal Terminal will anchor the highly anticipated Heartland Corridor, which will bring high-volume, double-stack freight trains through central Ohio as they move between Chicago and the east coast.
The central Ohio region owes much of its logistics and transportation successes to an ideal location. However, the area’s large workforce is also responsible. Currently, the central Ohio region boasts a healthy workforce of more than 1.7 million. Logistics and transportation companies are taking note. In addition to the vast wealth of human resources, the greater Columbus area offers tax and business related incentives. These factors combine to create an atmosphere conducive to the vision of the Columbus Region Logistics Council: that the Columbus region will be known as a major U.S. channel of advanced logistics.
