Logistics Case Studies
The Columbus Chamber is proud to provide a host of resources concerning central Ohio logistics and transportation. The greater Columbus area has long been recognized on a national level as an ideal logistics hub, thanks in part to the excellent transportation infrastructure running through the city. Developments in recent years, including the Rickenbacker Intermodal Terminal, have further strengthened the area’s logistical capabilities. The Rickenbacker Intermodal Terminal will anchor the highly anticipated Heartland Corridor, which will bring high-volume, double-stack freight trains through Columbus as they move between Chicago and the east coast.
While the central Ohio region owes much of its success as a logistics center to its excellent location, the quality of the logistics companies operating in and around Columbus is equally responsible. It is the vision of the Columbus Region Logistics Council that the Columbus region will be known as a major U.S. channel of advanced logistics. Through the combined efforts of the region’s logistics companies and teaming workforce of more than 1.7 million people, this vision is quickly becoming a reality.
Below you will find case studies highlighting the success of logistics companies operating in the central Ohio region.
