Help fulfill the wish of a four year old boy to go to Disney World
This March, all Jersey Mike's Subs stores in Columbus are sponsoring a four year old boy named Quentin who needs our help to fulfill his wish. He wants what most little children want - to go to Disney World!
In such a magical place, he and his brother and parents can forget about his medical struggles for one week, and focus on fun and happiness together. We will be donating a portion of our sales the entire month of March to help reach our goals. We also will be hosting a Giant Wish Gala on March 18, which will include food, music, carnival games, and a silent auction. Our Giant Wish is that we are able to not only raise enough money for Quentin and his family, but have extra funds generated to give to the Columbus Make a Wish program to continue their great work in our local community. We are providing the food and music for this event, but we kindly ask for your donations of cash for carnival games, or items which we can use for the auction, ranging in value from $25-$500. As a community, we can all help make Quentin's wishes come true! Make a Wish tax ID for donations is 34-147113. -

Safelite Receives Medical Mutual 2012 Pillar Award
Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation's leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, was recognized with the Medical Mutual 2012 Pillar Award for Community Service for the 2nd consecutive year.
The award, sponsored by Medical Mutual and Smart Business Columbus, honors companies whose charitable works contribute to the central Ohio region and demonstrate a commitment to philanthropy. All 2012 Pillar Award winners and their good deeds were featured in the January edition of Smart Business Columbus. Smart Business Columbus described Safelite's commitment toward allowing employees to find time to volunteer through two paid days off work to volunteer - one at an organization of their choice and one as a department. Some examples include LifeCare Alliance's Meals-on-Wheels, where more than 40 Columbus-based Safelite associates donate their lunch hour and one paid volunteer hour each month to deliver food to senior citizens who have severely limited mobility. Safelite's route is located near its Columbus-area corporate headquarters and takes about two hours to complete. Associates work in pairs. Another example is the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus' "Ready When the Time Comes" program, which Safelite AutoGlass® is serving as the lead local sponsor for 2011 and 2012. Ready When the Time Comes (RWTC) recruits and trains volunteers to provide immediate help in the event of a local, large-scale disaster in the any of the four counties the Greater Columbus Red Cross chapter serves. RWTC volunteers are "reserves" that can be called to serve when a disaster response requires more than the normal corps of local disaster volunteers. Safelite AutoGlass® currently has 35 volunteers who have been or will soon be trained in mass care, sheltering, logistics and disaster assessment. "Our company takes social responsibility serious, and it makes me proud to see our employees joining us in making the world a better place," said Safelite AutoGlass® president and CEO Tom Feeney. "We are honored to be recognized for our charitable outreach both as a company and for the generosity of our individual employees." About Safelite Autoglass®: Safelite Autoglass®, founded in 1947, is the nation's leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, providing mobile service to more than 95 percent of the U.S. population in all 50 states.
